They may not consider EAD, but if you submit a copy of I-140 they will consider that.
I also had to go thru a cycle of process, but finally they approved on on submitting a copy of I-140 Approval letter

If I had my I-485 applications mailed on July 2nd and had it postmarked on July 2nd, but reached USCIS on July 3rd, according to USCIS, does that mean that my application was filed on July 2nd?

Applied GC in MAY 2002 in EB3-I. Been with the same company, same job etc...
Labor cleared in MAY 2007.
Applied I140 and I485 in June 2007.
I140 approved in SEPT 2007. Since then am with AP and EAD.

Good to hear that you are a Kabayan!I am currently in Marikina City.My wife is also calling friends and colleagues to contact Senators and Congressmen.I also had my sister(teacher) and cousins (nurses) contact theirs too even way back in Nov 06 when SKIL was being pushed in the new Congress. It is almost a year and at the latest the SChumer/hutchison amendment was withdrawn. I really hope something does pass for Sched A this year.

Also I want to make a suggestion, Please urge Congress via banners or what so ever means to take Legal Immigration and Illegal Immigration separately. We are so badly being hit by congress combining these issues.We are legal taxpaying immigrants and should be treated the same way. Not equivalent to illegal immigrants.

LUD has little or no meaning. I have seen cases getting approval notice without ANY LUD. Don't stress out or hold your breath for it.

But checking my July 2007 I485 online status, it says it was last updated in Dec 2007..
Shouldn't we all have got recent LUDs or RFEs if all of us were recently pre-adjugated

I need something which removes employer dependency with approved i140 until u file 485.
I hate working at the same employer just becasue my PD is not current. And by the time my PD becomes current, may be employer is not doing good, I am not happy at the job.... and I have to start from PERM again at new employer. Also if employer revokes i140, I loose the PD as well!!

I have filed EB2 & EB3 with the same company (As explained earlier). EB3 as Programmer Analyst and EB2 as Database Adminstrator ( MS + 2 yrs exp.). I think it is better to take some expert attorney advice on your case. It does not hurt if you consult ( or crosscheck ) with some other attorney about your case. Most of the legal experts charge around $250 to evaluate your case and suggest.

I was looking up the SOC job codes and I noticed is that in your case the SOC job codes are different. (Programmer Analyst 15-1021.00 and Database Administrator 15-1061.00.)

guys i think USCIS is not interested in giving EB 3 guys GC...
as mostly EB 3 guys r ppl with Bachelors (and less than 5 yrs exp) or who are stuck with EB3 due to there company (like me)...
EB 2 guys r mostly with ppl having masters degree from US...so i guess they will definetly get more preference than eb3...
I guess US wants to raise there economy by giving GCs...so that ppl more ppl will buy houses....
I hope something happens for EB3 also...but I guess in Oct bulletin PD for EB3 will b some month in 2001....

As latest Visa bulleting states - DOS people had predicted and planned - They will move EB3 dates forward to cover all June applicants - that means moving cut-off dates for EB3 - India to Jun 2003 as per Jun 2007 bulletin. For some reason - they see heavey demand now and it may not be the case in next bulletin. Still they beleive its diffcult to predict any dates for EB3 before mid Sept. They are working and intention are there to help EB3 applicants. That leads to make me believe that dates for EB3 - India would move to somewhere Nov-Dec 2002 to Jan-Feb 2003 in next bulletin.

Instead of telling them what they will lose, lets tell them what they gained from us and what they would not have if it were not for the immigrants.
If two thirds of all PhD's are foreign born. And 60% of Masters degree holders are also not US citizens. Now this is the best talent that US corporations need to keep up the competative edge. No infosys wipro can fill this void.

This is going to be the biggest problem because in US, we have a foundation for debt based economy (SSN, credit history, Credit score, credit ratings etc.) If you default the payment, you will have an effect and there will be an impact on future credit applications. There is nothing of this sort in India and the politicians will not allow such things to be setup as well. So essentially back to my point. Banks who lend money are at bigger risk of loosing it. There is nothing that they can do to report on consumer's default or fraud for that matter.
Now per say consumer dump the property or bank attaches it for non payment of loan amount, Bank will be stuck with properties worth 1/4th for those crores that they loaned to people, maintenance will cost them more to prepare it for sale.
In any account, there is a big problem ahead there.
