Hallo all,
is it possible to create an application in Blend/Silverlight which looks like shown in :

I am currently on H-1b and my wife is on H-4. My current job will be terminated on 8/15 and my wife has received H1b approval notice to start full time on 10/1. We have a US born baby who requires future post-surgery follow-ups. I was on F-1 visa, requested OPT through the university, but I didn't applied to USCIS, because I got H-1b premium processing approval. My wife has a valid H-4, and unexpired B1/B2 visa. So my questions are:
a) Between 8/15 and 10/1, are we out of status?
b) I should file a change of status. Should I file
(b-1) H-1b to H-4 directly (effective 10/1)?
(b-2) H-1b to B1/B2 (before 8/15), then B1/B2 to H-4 (effective 10/1)?
(b-3) H-1b to F-1 (before 8/15), then F-1 to H-4 (effective 10/1)?
(b-4) F-1 OPT with university endorsement, if they are willing to do it?
c) Do I need to go abroad and actually get B1/B2 visa since I never got one? I think a change of status should be okay.
Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks.

I don't meant to scare you but this shit usually happens when they are reconsidering the decision when the sponsoring employer withdraws your H-1B. Check with your company's/lawyer if they accidentally submitted withdrawal of your H-1B petition.

The New York Times reports that tomorrow Immigration and Customs Enforcement will be sending instructions to agents in field offices aimed at changing their enforcement focus from work site raids that largely resulted in mass arrests of workers to I-9 audits and undercover investigations mainly targeting employers. However, workers will still be subject to arrest. you cannot do imports for the purpose of material editing in swift. you can import an ai or EPS image, but never, never, never, rasterized.

I have seen references that if there are different I-140 apps approved per family, there is a possibility of going for the 485 stage separately. Also I have seen posts stating that one can go for AOS and the other for CP.
How do you communicate to USCIS that for one you are doing AOS and the other you are doing CP, with reference to the 485 stage? When does this really happen?

Company A filed my I-140 and it got approved, however I have not been provided with copy of the approval notice. I don't have the receipt number either. In this case, is it possible to obtain the copy of I-140 thru FOIA (Freedom of Information Act)?

According to a FAQ on Murthy.com about the Yates memo, it is possible to switch jobs (using AC21) if 140 and 485 have both have been pending 180 days. Murthy doesn't advise this under normal circustances because if an RFE is received on the 140, then it is problematic if you've left the company.

My attorney is asking $500 for filing both EAD and AP as filing fee. So was wondering how difficult it is to file by my self. Does anyone has expereince filing for renewal.?

Hi,
I've been working full-time on EAD for the last 2+ years. I have a pending 485 application, on which my spouse is the primary applicant. I have never applied for H1B in the past, because I transferred directly from F1 (student visa) to this EAD.
My spouse also has an H1B, which is in it's 7th year (completed 6 yrs of H1B).
My spouse has been put on furlough (unpaid leave) for 3 months.
What are our options ?
1. Can my employer file H1B for me, and an H4 for my spouse ? How will this affect our green card application (on which my spouse is primary applicant) ?
2. How much time does my spouse have to look for another job (with similar job description), without being out of status ? Is there some grace period associated with H1?

Please help me with this. i came to USA on L1B visa in 2005 with 1 year petition and got extension for 2 more years i.e till feb 2008 but went to india for good in June 2007.
Again we came back with new L1B petition in Oct 2007 and got 3 years visa i.e, till Oct 2010.
1) Now if company apply for extension on L1B how many years ext i'll get?
2) Now if Company B wants to file new H1B for me, how many years of visa i'll get.
i was never on H1 before this is my first time H1B.
Please help me with this as soon as possible.
