Our Application was also received by M.Salcedo at TSC on August 2nd. We got all our receipts on October 1st. When I checked the status online for 765, the status showed - 'Card Production Ordered'

G4 is not a dual intent visa. She won't able to travel till she gets her advanced parole, which could be long. She will also lose any home leave benefits she may have (if in the YP program). There could be income tax filing issues as well - check with your consultant.

But make sure you are not shutting your option by talking to an immigration lawyer and finding out for sure if you are qualified.

According to CNN, America could be facing a nursing shortage that will worsen exponentially as the population grows older. The problem: Baby boomers are getting older and will require more care than ever, taxing an already strained nursing system.
Barry Pactor, international director of global health care for consulting company HCL International, agrees that more nurses should be trained within the U.S. system. But as a short term solution for this "huge shortage," he said the U.S. government should loosen immigration restrictions on foreign health care workers. "I don't see this as foreign nurses taking American jobs, because these are vacancies that already exist and cannot be [filled] by nurses currently in training," he said. "We'd be filling in the gaps until the training can catch up with the demand."

I have an Andvance Parole valid till Feb'10 end. However right now am in India and wish to stay back even after the AP expiry. In this scenario is it good to apply for renewal AP from India or is it advisable to return back to US and then apply for AP?
Does any one provide how much time it takes for the renewal if I apply for AP from India. Do I need to give the India address for delivery? I have some one in US who can recieve the AP by mail and can send it by post to India. Is this an advisable?

Hi, me and my wife we both r on H1b. My wife works with a solution & service LLC.say company A, now the owner is ready to start a new company, say B,with my wife as partner. She will be just passive investor in the company and getting profits, if any from company B. Can she still work full time with company A?. How can we invest in company B and take profits. is there any problem is getting profits more then 500K in a year.

Find below my current visa status
1. H1B 6 years completing in Jul 2009. My firm will apply for extension in March time frame
2. I have applied for I-485 and have EAD + AP.
I am planning to travel to India for a week on AP sometime in May. I have the following Qs on this
1. Can I travel to India with AP when H1B extn is pending.
2. Will I face any issue while entering the US if my H1B is denied (or) there is an RFE on my appln?
Please answer these for me.

So, I called USCIS this morning. The lady at the other side of the line told me that I have to reapply, and unless I have a real emergency (as defined by USCIS), I have to wait for another 6-8 months for the AP to be reissued.

I got my DL reneul yesterday..there want any Visa question asked at all..??..Is texas not following DL reneual only untill your visa expiry date??..:confused:
