Could you please provide some more information regarding this porting from EB3 to EB2?

nice to see good activity on the forum. Please hold on from holding any rally until you hear from IV core. We have some good synergy amongst or members in So Cal, lets plan a meeting in the coming weeks and decide on an action plan. I would encourage you to start thinking about ideas/specific actions we can take. I have a few ideas and would share it on our so cal email distribution list. Who can take the initiative to organize this meeting? Twinbrothers? any one else? Pls P.M me.

Today we are here almost on the verge of disintegration as an organization. And this is because we always believed in our minds that we are nothing but a bunch of opportunists coming together for our individual cause of getting a GC. What we see today is an outcome of what we always believed. Soon EB2 will disappear, and EB3 will be left alone fighting for their GC's. And at some point of time they will also go away, all that's left will be "guests" using IV as a discussion forum. May be what I suggested can be termed as "Quixotic" but unless we aim high, we will never reach high.
Guys, I am an EB2 with PD in 2004, but I will always stand together with you, no matter what. A GC for myself alone will never satisfy me, because number of my friends, my family members are in EB3, and I am not mean enough to celebrate for myself when majority of my friends and family members are sad.

I have talked to a representative and he very patiently explained me about the mess.
He clearly and very clearly told me that they have a deadline to send all receipts for June end and July 2nd filers by friday (tomorrow) or worst case monday.
He mentioned that they are working hard to meet this deadline.
Hope this clears the anxiety.

09/28/2007: Depressing News for the Year-End Backend 485 Delays and Potential Waste of Visa Numbers for FY 2007
Unconfirmed sources indicate that two days before the end of FY 2007, there may be a substantial number of 485 applications for which visa numbers are available but have yet to be adjudicated, indicating that some visa numbers could be wasted this year. We know that the Service Centers have been working day and night and did not have enough resources to deal with the crisis which was brought about by the recent Visa Bulletin fiasco. We just hope for the better new fiscal year that will start from October 1, 2007.
This is horrible. We need to know how many numbers have been wasted due to notorious inefficiency of USCIS. This also raises an important question why DOS does not allocate the entire 140,000 on Oct 1st when there is tremendous backlog in the system. Also, it is ridiculous that USCIS does not release the Number of backlogged applicants in its system.!!

My PD : 10/04. I got 45 days letter in May last week as per attorney.
My attorney is Stupid . She never gives any information and says it is the property of employer( Even LIN numbers)
I don't know when they can approve my labour.

all those hiding, come forward...come to the rally. We NEED to be heard. It's time to be heard loud and clear. EACH AND EVERY NUMBER COUNTS. Like each drop makes the ocean, each member that comes to the rally counts...each and every single one. you think if only you don't show up, so what...imagine if everyone thought same..there would be no rally. no one would hear us. Hi, the website says my case was certified but my employer and my lawyer did not receive the hard copy yet. It got certified July 17. How long does it take for me to receive it? What should I do?

These are all good thoughts but what u are suggesting takes some time.
The issue has two legs:
Leg 1: Process fix
Leg 2: Increasing number of greencards
What I am talking about is leg 1 and what you are talking about is for leg 2
and both are required.
I am not discouraging you for taking initiative - I am for it - let this be the first step towards doing something - but looks like we lack directive and path of execution.

I am happy for following things in life:
1) I still have a job, or atleast pay.
2) I have an EAD, those in PERM, 140, do not have that option.
3) I am better placed than those seeking immigration as brothers and sisters of US citizens :-d or as married children of US citizens.
I am not happy about:
1) Don't have the plastic that says, I can stay on even if I don't have a job.
2) Those from other countries getting "lottery" visa instead of hard work.
Who said "hard work" pays off? It just takes LUCK in life for things to fall in place. From tomorrow, I am just going to buy lottery and do NO work.
I dont think Luck is all that is needed in life. Getting a perspective on things around is the key. Understand this fact. Recession happens once every 6 years on average. Every recession seems like a depression during the times. Believe me, we felt that the tech meltdown of 2001 was the end of the world for all those high flying dreams. Today people say that the 2001 recession was a mil one. Yeah, tell that to the people on H1 visas wo lost their jobs and had to leave the country. The same scenario seems to be the case now. Just hang in there and dont go by these bogus media headlines that scream that one would have to wait atleast for 10 years for a GC. They were the same then too. Do what you do well with this perspective in mind and you should be ok.

I read in one of the Ron's post -CHc trying to stop even small immigration bills which has no amesty in it.So even the nurse recapture bill is at stake.
So ,I'm sorry -I beleive no one will even touch our case.Apply in EB2 port PD or get new PD either will be helpful .But seeing new backlog for I 140 its terrible.
I might apply for Canadian GC-Having kids here ,man they are adapted to this country living.That's the only thing bothering - kids future.
So this bill this year is at stake for sure.No one cares ...including change-what change there woudnt be any change in new party too.Its all drama going.I lost the trust.Its as if EB3 is not educated.
I'm just wondering-Will this problem be there if it were for ROW-or is it our color...that they dont want to aid.It's sure racism.
How many EB3 are there in total...Who asked them to flood the applications last year? :mad:
Its bloody hell out here.no wonder some people become saddist later half ...who woudnt when they are treated like this from begginning.
Now I have to hate myself applying in EB3.:rolleyes:

I have mailed to Senator Menendez -NJ thanking him for introducing the new bill and to do the needful.So far no news.
