From Sept 2008 visa bulletin: "The Mexico F2A and Employment Third preference cut-off dates are �unavailable� for both August and September, since those FY-2008 annual limits have been reached. The Visa Office had originally anticipated that this would be a temporary situation. Then with the start of the new fiscal year in October the cut-off dates would have returned to those which had applied during June. However, continued heavy demand in those categories may require the establishment of cut-off dates which are earlier than those which had applied in June. A formal decision determination of the October cut-off dates will not be possible until early September."
I think we must do something for EB3 category. BTW when is congress coming back from recess? Can we do something on the visa recapture bill??
This is truly sad. And I agree with WillWin that we need to do something. IV core has time and again stressed that they will not do anything for a certain EB group. I understand their stance. But every other EB group is getting help from somewhere. For EB3-I, forget getting help, we are actually losing every day forward.

we are not talking anything new nixstor, there are people already waiting for years to get name check done......dont think if you pretend like nothing is happened will get a GC within a year....even though we might still stuck for years in the name of name check
May be you are right. I am pretending like nothing has happened. But Those folks who are adding spin to the issue on security checks, are you focusing in any way on the root cause of the problem. My point is, If you bring security on, every thing else is shelved until security is fixed. If its already there, let it be there. Let AILA figure out in the law suit how they approved. Let Rep Lofgren do it. Why should we stir up the hornet's nest on digg and open doors to anti guys to tighten security checks on us. Its like we are going out there and saying that "yes, My buddy got GC in 6 months. The security system is not working. Please fix it " What will be the result?

Ok now coming back to your statement. I just didnt say IIT but also REC's. REC stands for Regional Engineering Colleges (there are plenty in India) and that is not a payment seat. Education level is well maintained and by entrance examination standard, its far above GRE level. Argue me on this. I have no problems with America or any American, infact I feel America is a great first world nation and I love being working/living here.
But this doesn't mean I will say any bulllshit & non-fact thing about my motherland.
Also Gayatri one last thing or FACT in your words i tell you. The people(few Non Resident Indians, 2% i must say) like we have seen talk so much negative about their own country, but whenever they are in trouble in foreign countries, they look for immediate help from Indian Government. It is made as a big issue in India that NRI's in trouble, prime minister should come forward and help.

I can tell you for a fact that Universities in America are much better than those in India. This is why I came here and I went to an average university here which I could afford.
What Professor-ji said in the video was that Indians were successful DESPITE the poor education they received in India. India is becoming a world superpower in research and development DESPITE this. I believe this is true. Indians know how to compete and will be world leaders because they work hard and think smart.
Lets not fool ourselves at least!! We need to learn to accept the truth.

Why don't you listen to others on this forum? No one is out to screw H-1s and/or GC aspirants as far as the rebate is concerned. Read the previous post by gg10004. The law is not differentiating between a H1 and GC aspirant or a US citizen if none of them have a valid SSN. It is just unfortunate that H4s do not get SSNs. So stop getting paranoid.
Moreover, your response that your title "No Stimulus Package to H1's and GC Aspirants - Again We Loose 1200$" is justified because titles are not for stories or whatever makes you look like an utter idiot. Titles are for accurately reflecting the gist of the thread. If you have an issue with adding 5 more words to reflect the reality, then add only one word: "No Stimulus Package to SOME H1's and GC Aspirants - Again We Loose 1200$".

Given that IV was majorly instrumental in reversing the July fiasco, the least I could do was contribute money.
I am also planning to contribute time by volunteering for Texas state chapter activities.

How much time does one really need to prepare to file for labor these days ,please let me know. The time before filing the labor, if everything goes very fast.

Even though one wants to push too fast, I think there are certain duration one has to wait in each step before goes to the next step (this is just based on my knowledge and I may be wrong). It takes around 6 months minimum I think. Good luck for your process.

Yes, Can open an LLc or Inc even on H1. Make sure you look at tax laws in your state. A non operating entity also has to pay about $750/yr in Taxes (Varies from state to state) plus file annual reports etc all costing more $$$.
So think it through before incorporating.
